Founded by Helena Robson in summer 2020, HEFT STUDIO is an emerging craft practice based just outside Edinburgh. My design process is led by an admiration for the natural environment and the traditional skills and processes connected to it. I work with Scottish hardwoods wherever possible to create furniture grounded in an understanding of place, making unique pieces that respond directly to the material they’re crafted from.

what I do

I offer a bespoke furniture design and manufacture service, working in a selection of Scottish hardwoods. I work mostly on a commission basis, collaborating closely with clients to create one of a kind pieces of furniture for their homes.

I welcome enquiries from private clients, architects and design professionals. We can create individual pieces of furniture or collections for larger spaces, both interior and exterior.
